Along with the provincial and federal government guidelines, JnK Imagery is a member of the professional photographers of Canada (PPOC) which has set out some guidelines for photographers. We're happy to say that most of these have been part of our business practices before the pandemic. We always have hand sanitizer on us and wash our hands frequently before and after a session. We have updated our cancellation policies to reflect the times for our safety and yours. If either/any of us are sick we are to stay home and reschedule the session.

• Consultations will continue to be virtual either via video chat or phone.
• All sessions must be pre-booked and a screening questionnaire completed before your session (rescheduling fees are waived if either of us fail this).
• We mainly photograph with a long lens meaning we will maintain our distance from you. We will use verbal guidance during the session to ensure you look your best. We will also wear a mask for all indoor sessions and when we can not maintain our distance outside.
• We work 1 on 1 with you which means we will only enlist assistants, makeup artists and stylists if required for your specific session. This will keep the number of people on your session to a minimum.
• Group sessions will only be photographed if they meet the government guidelines. (ie. number of people in a place, distance capabilities, etc...)
• We have always limited the number of clients we work with in a day but we will make sure that there is no overlap between clients and that proper cleaning of equipment, and if in studio the space is cleaned between each client.

A headshot photography session is usually a quick session with the goal being to get you an image or 2, usually head and shoulders, for you to use as a profile picture, on your website and maybe on your business or marketing materials. These sessions are great for companies that need a consistent look for their website or individuals that just need an up to date image and don't have a lot of time. The purposes of a headshot image is to let people know what you look like.

A personal branding photography session goes beyond just a pretty picture of yourself. Branding photography is a holistic session that includes various elements to tell your story and can help you build trust, and connect you to others. It's a visual way to communicate your message to your customer which is more powerful than text. The uses for personal branding cover everything from your website and social media marketing to content for a specific project or product.

Your images are your marketing tool and can be used in any manner you need them. They can be used in social media campaigns, on your website, in brochures, to showcase you as a featured speaker at an event, to accompany an article on a blog or in a magazine. 

Booking your branding session actually takes some time to plan and execute. Most branding sessions are booked 4-6 weeks in advance depending on what you're thinking. Branding sessions, like the rest of your marketing planning, take time. I use my expertise to guide you as we plan your session.

A headshot session can be booked a few days in advance.

That's okay, I'm here to help! In our planning session, we'll go over in detail what you do, what your message is, who your ideal client is and how the images should look in order to make sure that you are attracting the right people and that your messaging remains consistent!

This depends on you and your business! Ideally, you want to tell your story and reflect your business; so it should be a location that either speaks to you or your customer. If you have a shop or office then we would do some images there. If you are completely mobile, it will depend on your business, personality and message, and this is where we can have a lot of fun and variety in choosing locations.

Sessions vary in length from 1 hour to a full 8 hour day. This is dependent on your needs, time and budget.
