Brand photography is the creation of images created expressly for you that showcase you, your service or product. It shows your clients and potential clients what your business is about and how what you offer will benefit them, it gives them a glimpse of your personality, it shares your vision and fosters dreams.
Why you need brand photography?
People are visual creatures and we react to images in a different way than we react to words. Social media platforms have shown how much more important visuals are.
Also the way we do business has changed, we often meet people online first or research a business through social media platforms or google, it's rare that we meet a person first, if at all sometimes so the images you share especially about yourself and your business have become much more important.
This is where brand photography comes in. Your images will either attract a person to reach out to you or it will send them onto the next person. Your messaging in this image is so super important because as human beings we judge a person by their image in under 3 seconds.
Brand photography is more than a pretty picture of you, it has to look like you (this builds your credibility), be inviting and engaging and capture your personality, it also needs to share your business’ story. They can be used in conjunction to share an aspect of your service or product or stand alone to tell a story.
What I love most about brand photography is it’s a visual showcase of what you do and it’s different for every business as what you do, how you do it and your messaging are unique. What isn’t different is that you need good photography because people don’t buy from bad photos.
Think of any of your favourite brands, the images are professional. They are clear, they show off the product or demonstrate their benefits or lifestyle and entice someone to buy. So is your image enticing someone to buy or at least inquire into your service or product?
When an image is worth a thousand words, do you know what yours is saying?
