Along with the provincial and federal government guidelines, JnK Imagery is a member of the professional photographers of Canada (PPOC) which has set out some guidelines for photographers. We're happy to say that most of these have been part of our business practices before the pandemic. We do most of our work from our home office and therefore are self-isolating when we are not on a shoot. We always have hand sanitizer on us and wash our hands frequently. We have updated our cancellation policies to reflect the times for our safety and yours. If either/any of us are sick we are to stay home and reschedule the session.
A headshot photography session is usually a quick session with the goal being to get you an image or 2, usually head and shoulders, for you to use as a profile picture, on your website and maybe on your business or marketing materials. These sessions are great for companies that need a consistent look for their website or individuals that just need an up to date image and don't have a lot of time. The purposes of a headshot image is to let people know what you look like.
A personal branding photography session goes beyond just a pretty picture of yourself. Branding photography can help you build trust, tell your story and connect you to others. It's a visual way to communicate your message to your customer which is more powerful than text. The uses for personal branding cover everything from your website and social media marketing to content for a specific project or product.
If you've never had a professional photography session for your business, the reasons to do one are many.
Booking your branding session actually takes some time to plan and execute. Most branding sessions are booked 1-2 months in advance depending on what you're thinking. Branding sessions, like the rest of your marketing planning, take time. I use my expertise to guide you as we plan your session.
A headshot session can be booked a few days in advance.
That's okay, I'm here to help! In our consult, we'll go over in detail what you do, what your message is, who your ideal client is and how the images should look in order to make sure that you are attracting the right people and that your messaging remains consistent!
This depends on you and your business! Ideally, you want to tell your story and reflect your business; so it should be a location that either speaks to you or your customer. If you have a shop or office then we would do some images there. If you are completely mobile, it will depend on your business, personality and message, and this is where we can have a lot of fun and variety in choosing locations.
Sessions vary in length from 1 hour to a full 8 hour day. This is dependent on your needs, time and budget.
If you're part of a team, then we will customize a session that's as unique as you and your business while following the guidelines for social distancing during this time.
A branding illustration is another visual way to tell the story of your business. It could be an illustrated logo, an editorial cartoon or your own avatar; the sky's the limit. It allows you to take sensitive subjects and soften them in a more digestible way to attract clients, add humour to your company, or allows you to explore fantastical elements of your business. It's another tool for your business to stand out!
It's always good to start the conversation about your project as soon as possible. Each project can take a different amount of time and we can only take on a limited number of projects each month.
